The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) prepared an Environmental Assessment to determine The Milwaukee Streetcar project’s potential social, environmental, and economic impacts in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969(NEPA). On October 31, 2011, FTA issued an Environmental Assessment for public comment pursuant to 23 CR Section 771.119. The EA evaluated the Locally Preferred Alternative and a No Build Alternative. After reviewing the EA and supporting documents including public and agency comments and responses, the FTA found under 23 CFR Section 771.121 that the proposed project with mitigation will have no significant adverse impact on the environment.
