IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

Updated April 20, 2022

Due to a recent court ruling, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) order requiring masks to be worn on all forms of public transportation, including The Hop, is no longer in effect. The CDC does, however, continue to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transportation settings, and the Milwaukee Health Department shares that recommendation. While The Hop will no longer be enforcing a mask requirement, we continue to ask all passengers to wear masks covering their mouth and nose.

In addition to encouraging mask use for all passengers, we’re also doing our part to limit the spread of COVID-19 through a rigorous cleaning protocol that includes twice-daily sanitization of all streetcars and station platforms. In addition, all surfaces of our vehicles, stations and maintenance spaces, including the hand straps, seats and boarding doors, have been treated with an anti-microbial protective coating to minimize the potential for the virus to spread.

Here’s what else we’re doing to keep the Hop clean and safe, and how you can help:
